Job Description:
Staff Selection Commission (SSC) invites applications for
Selection Posts (Phase-XII/2024) across various levels. Candidates interested
in diverse roles across different educational backgrounds are encouraged to

Starting Date to Apply Online: 26-02-2024
The deadline for online applications is March 18, 2024,
until 23:00 Hrs (11:00 PM).
The last date for fee payment is March 19, 2024, until 23:00

Dates of Window for Application Form Correction: 22-03-2024
to 24-03-2024 (up to 23:00 Hrs)
The tentative date for the Computer Based Examination is May
6th to 8th, 2024.
Age Limit (as on 01-01-2024):
Minimum Age: 18 Years
Maximum Age: 42 Years
Age Relaxation applies as per government norms. After the
examination, the Commission will upload Tentative Answer Keys on its website.
Educational Qualification:
Matric Level: 10th Class Pass
Intermediate Level: 10+2 Pass
Graduation & Above: Any Degree from a recognized
institution.

Scheme of Examination:
Candidates applying for SSC Selection Posts (Phase-XII/2024) will undergo a Computer Based Examination with the following scheme:
Examination Format:
Three distinct Computer Based Examinations will be
administered, each comprising Objective Type Multiple Choice questions.
Examinations are categorized based on the minimum
Educational Qualification of Matriculation, Higher Secondary, and Graduation
& above levels.
Subjects, Marks, and Duration:
Part A: General Intelligence
Number of Questions: 25
Maximum Marks: 50
Part B: General Awareness
Number of Questions: 25
Maximum Marks: 50
Part C: Quantitative Aptitude (Basic Arithmetic Skill)
Number of Questions: 25
Maximum Marks: 50
Part D: English Language (Basic Knowledge)
Number of Questions: 25
Maximum Marks: 50
The total duration of the examination is 60 minutes, with an
extended duration of 80 minutes for candidates eligible for scribes as per
paragraphs 9.1, 9.2, and 9.3 above.
Negative Marking:
Each wrong answer will result in a deduction of 0.50 marks.
Normalization of Scores:
Marks scored by candidates in the Computer Based Examination
will be normalized using the formula published by the Commission.
Normalized scores shall be employed to ascertain the final
merit list and set the cut-off marks..
Skill Tests:
Where specified in the Essential Qualification, skill tests
such as Typing, Data Entry, Computer Proficiency, etc., will be administered.
These tests will serve as qualifying assessments.
Minimum Qualifying Standards:
The Commission reserves the discretion to fix different
minimum qualifying standards in each component of the Examination.
Tentative Answer Keys:
The Commission's website will host Tentative Answer Keys
following the examination.
Candidates may submit representations, if any, within the
time limit given by the Commission through online modality only, on payment of
Rs 100/- per question.
The Commission will scrutinize representations before
finalizing the Answer Keys. No representations regarding Answer Keys shall be
entertained later.
Indicative Syllabus for Computer Based Examination:
Detailed syllabus including General Intelligence, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, and English Language for Matriculation level and other levels is provided in the official notification.
Application Process:
Candidates should carefully read the recruitment notice and
ensure they meet all eligibility criteria including age limit, educational
qualifications, and any other specified requirements.
Only applications submitted through the official SSC website
will be considered.
Incomplete or ineligible applications will be rejected at
any stage of the recruitment process without notice.
Candidates are advised to keep all necessary documents ready
before starting the application process.
The candidature of applicants will be provisional throughout
the recruitment process.
