IIT Bombay launched a self- help website


Shri. Sanjay Dhotre, Union Minister of State for Education launched ‘Bandhu,’ a self-help website to enhance the emotional wellbeing of students. On 1st November 2020, IIT Bombay launched the website which perhaps supported by the alumni of Class of 1992 in the presence of its Director Prof. Subhasis Chaudhuri. 

Shri. Sanjay Dhotre appreciating the great efforts of IIT Bombay and commented that a good educational institution should care for each and every students’ well being and safety by making sure that the learning environment is welcoming and produces appropriate infrastructure to enhance their learning ability. He said that a vibrant campus with highly developed infrastructure aids the teaching and learning processes by providing equal opportunities in all activities such as sports, eco club, arts club etc...

The minister believes that this initiative will help the students to follow their own paths in a stress free manner and also ensures their emotional state of being. Bandhu was designed and supported by the alumni batch of 1992 with the supervision of Prof. T. Kundu and Prof. Suhas Joshi. The Guest of Honour was Mr. Nitesh Tiwari, a  film maker and an IIT Bombay alumnus.
