DCGI given nod to Mylan pharma to launch Remdesivir
Key highlights:
Drug controller and General of India has given its approval to Mylan
Pharma, a major pharmaceutical to launch Desrem, a coronavirus general drug to be used on
patients of suspected or laboratory-confirmed severe incidences of COVID19 in
adults and children.
Desrem is a version of remdesivir allowed to use for sever
incidences of covid19
Mylan’s similar version has already been launched by Cipla ltd and
privately held hetero labs ltd.
Cipla's price will range up to 5000 rupees, cipremi will price 5000 rupees, while Hetero has priced its version, Covifor at 5400 rupees.
