Prime minister launches the App innovation challenge: Aatmanirbhar Bharat for techies.

key highlights:

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has launched “Aatmanirbhar Bharat App Innovation Challenge “with the aim of encouraging technical peoples around India and start-up communities for creating world-class “made in India” applications.

The initiative was taken by the ministry of electronics & information technology (MeitY) partnership with Atal Innovation Mission- NITI Ayog, this app innovation challenge consisting promotion of existing plus development of new apps.

Also, these challenges have been aiming to identify the best Indian apps being used by the citizens and have the potential to become a world-class app.

The mantra is to make in India for India and techies are invited to participate in the challenge to develop eight categories of apps as follows offie productivity & work from home, social networking, E-learning, Entertainment, Health & Wellness, Business including Agritech and Fintech, News and Games.


The Prize reward also fixed by the ministry, The reward lies between Rs 2 lakh to Rs 20 Lakh depending on the category, the app will be evaluated on the basis of : Ease of use, robustness, security features, and scalability.
